The National Cyber Security Centre to the rescue…

The annual review of the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) showed that it stopped the nation from falling victim to around 1,200 cyber attacks in the past two years, foiling an average of 10 attacks every week.

Most of the potential hacks were carried out by state-sponsored hackers from hostile nations. The NCSC, which was set up back in 2016, also managed to tackle phishing sites that prey on UK consumers.

The detailed annual review gave information about the incident response unit at the cyber security centre. As well as tackling high-level threats, the NCSC work to provide advice to businesses on the best way to help defend against pesky hackers.

Pretty impressive stuff…well done guys!
