Windows End of Support: One Month Countdown

In just over a months’ time, support will be ending on a variety of Microsoft programmes so it’s important to ensure that you are all up to date.

This is a normal process and is just another part of the Microsoft Lifecycle Policy which provides consistent guidelines for the availability of support throughout the life of a product.

Please see below a list of products that will be reaching the end of their support from 14 January 2020:
•    Windows Server 2008 and 2008 R2*
•    Exchange Server 2010
•    Windows 7*
•    Windows 7 Professional for Embedded Systems*

(*These products are eligible for the Extended Security Update Program)

Once the support has ended on each of these products, there will be no patches available which means any vulnerabilities will not be resolved. So, before the support ends, it is necessary to ensure that anyone who uses these products download the necessary updates before 14 January to ensure a certain level of security.
